Hello. I found this post so fascinating and vital to where we are heading. Just yesterday I was watching an interview with Brian Eno who was recommending that 50% of the profits of AI companies should be given to society (I am paraphrasing).

I have recently been researching for a future post broadly on the lines of 'Why the right hate UBI and what it means for our futures....' This post gives me pause for much deeper thought, for which I thank you.

Thanks, Jerome, that’s a great connection. UBI focuses on redistributing value after it’s created, while UHI (universal high income) asks how value creation itself can be decentralized.

It’s encouraging that you’re exploring this too. Right now, the core AI companies are centralizing the infrastructure, compute, data, and energy and the economic layer will follow. If we want a different outcome, this is the time to shape it.

“Decentralized” keeps showing up in research for a reason. It determines whether intelligence, and the wealth it generates, flows through communities or concentrates at the top.

Thanks, Jenn, I appreciate the UBI / UHI distinction much better now. Need to do some more thinking and researching.

I will continue to follow your posts/thoughts.
